What I offer is a bespoke ceremony that will celebrate your love, share your story and make sure that you, your family and friends will remember the day forever.
Weddings
Your ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day and should reflect your life and your story.
Do you want something contemporary mixed with laughter and surprises or perhaps a more traditional ceremony, but with a modern twist? The ceremonies I create and conduct are centred around your wishes. I will spend time getting to know you individually and as 'nearly-weds' and I will learn about your shared interests, quirks, funny stories and hopes for the future.
Personal and unique, I'll include whatever is most important to you. It may be that you want to include music, poems or readings that express your personalities, love and commitment. It may be that want you your furry friend to accompany you down the aisle or your family and friends be actively involved. You may have a symbolic element you want to include like a handfasting, sand ceremony or something unique to you.
Whatever you want, as a trained wedding celebrant, I'll help you plan your ceremony with extra-special moments to make sure your wedding is truly unique and memorable.
Vow Renewals
Renewing your vows is such a wonderful and special occasion.
Are you choosing to renew your vows for a particular reason? Perhaps it is for an important anniversary, or after a time of difficulty, or possibly the original ceremony was not the ideal choice of style or venue. Or perhaps, now just feels like the right time.
Your ceremony can be simple or as elaborate as you wish. You can choose your own words to confirm your commitment to each other or repeat the vows you originally made together. You can have family and friends involved or it can be about just the two of you.
Whatever you want, it’s all about you and making sure your ceremony reflects what you want. Together, we can create your perfect ceremony to celebrate your life and your story.
You Choose Where
Your ceremony can be any time, any place, any where!
Do you want your ceremony to be held indoors with home comforts around you or do you want to be outdoors with earth's natural elements around you? It's your choice.
There are so many beautiful places to choose from whether that be a barn, a village hall, your favourite beach, a hotel or your own back garden. As you do the legal bit first at your local register office, you can choose anywhere for your ceremony as you don't need a venue which is licensed for civil ceremonies.
Although I work primarily in Yorkshire, I will happily travel to your chosen place. When it comes to venue, the world really is your oyster!
The Legal Bit
For a wedding to be legal in the UK, formalities must be completed though the Registration Service at your local register office.
The first thing to do is to give the Registrar notice that you intend to marry. You need to arrange for two people to be present to act as witnesses at your Registration of Marriage, as stated in The Marriage Act. The legal bit takes 20 minutes in your local register office with your two witnesses.
The Registrar will prepare your Marriage Certificate for you and then you can go ahead with your Celebrant led ceremony.
