About Me
Hi, I’m Helen…
I’m a professionally trained independent civil celebrant, committed to creating beautiful, personalised and authentic ceremonies for all chapters of life.
I firmly believe that no two people are the same, therefore no two ceremonies should ever be the same. So whether it’s a wedding, funeral, naming ceremony, or anything else, when working with me you can be sure that your ceremony will be utterly unique and meaningful to you.
A love of people…
I have a passion for life and love talking to people, being with people and sharing experiences with people.
I live with my husband, Chris, and the other love of my life, my Coton de Tulear, Baxter. We live in West Yorkshire and love nothing more than wandering through fields, exploring woodlands and walking on beaches.
I am an avid gardener and get so much pleasure being in my garden- whether I'm enjoying a morning coffee, nurturing the plants or having a glass of wine in the evening sunshine.
I worked in education for twenty two years and more recently in child and adolescent mental health at a local children's charity. Both roles have given me so many skills and qualities which I use in my current role – the ability to think on my feet, warmth and compassion and a love of working with people.
My Style
As a trained civil celebrant, I create unique ceremonies that mark milestones in people’s lives.
I am always happy to include people’s beliefs – religious or otherwise and I create both traditional and alternative ceremonies – and everything in between.
I am a good listener, very organised and a true perfectionist. I will ensure that your day, whatever the event, will be special and individual to you.
It is important that the ceremony is the right fit for you.
